Who is Lauren Brooks?

One thing you should know about me is that I am very family oriented; I find majority of my pleasure being home and around family. I love to have my house full of family where we prepare home cooked meals, play games and laugh together. So when I am not with you , 100% of the time I am tucked away spending time with my loved ones.

I love deep conversations, I haven’t been told I talk a lot, but I’m pretty sure someone has thought that in their mind while looking me in my eyes. I love sharing stories about childhood memories, and goals in life I find that this is a great way to know and understand someone. 

Self-care is important to me, keeping myself up to par has always been inside of me watching my grandmother growing up she always went to the hair & nail salon. And you could always find her in heels and dressed very nice. Out of my siblings and cousins, I was the only one that would wear a purse, jewelry and her heels to church- I have been a huge girly-girl since a little girl. 

I love music; my favorite genre is R&B, and I’m not talking about Chris Brown or the new stuff they have, I’m talking about the early 90s- Joe, Case, Jagged Edge, I’ll even take it back to Luther Vandross and Teddy Pendergass. I am huge fan of Whitney Houston. Sometimes while I’m listening to her music I picture myself on stage singing her songs especially “You give good love”. I would say I have an old soul, and that’s from being raised by my grandmother. 

My future business plan is to publish my own book. A memoir, to be exact. I want to be able to share my story around the world to help younger girls find their path in life (when I am retired from this industry, obviously). I used to be in foster care growing up, so I came across a lot of girls that always looked up to me, whether it would be wanting my advice or wanting me to help them with their image. I find joy in helping others feel confident within themselves. And that’s another reason I find this job so exhilarating.  I love when a shy man walks in and walks out standing tall with a smile on his face... You never forget who made you feel good. I’ve also gone to school for Skin care, so owning my own Beauty Bar is another goal I have set out for myself. 

A very common question I get asked often is if I see my self getting married? My very quick response is always…… YES! I do. I still believe in love. I am a hopeless romantic , so the thought of having a husband and family is on the very top of my list. Like I said before I am big on family and I hope to have my own one day.
